Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja has officially accepted the resignation of popular Mugithi artist Samuel Muchoki, better known as Samidoh, from the National Police Service.
Samidoh, who balanced his duties in the service with a thriving music career, had served for 12 years. His dual commitments, however, eventually created friction with his superiors, at one point leading to desertion charges.
In his resignation letter, Samido explained that he wanted to concentrate fully on music, citing personal reasons for his decision.
Confirming the move, Kanja said the singer was free to pursue his passion. The resignation took effect on July 20.
This happens after Samido used the popular slogan ‘wantam’ at an event held along Thika Road. He was issued with a transfer letter from Narobi County to Baringo where he objected and decided to resigne fully from his career.
Samido , who is born and raised in Nyandarua County has always shown his commitment in both his career and talent which were both celebrated in the mount Kenya region.
Kenyans has shown alot of excitement on this since they used to request him to resign all along but due to his patriotism he always differed with them. He always claimed that despite the small salary , he earned the chance in a very hard way and this committed to serve Kenya fully.
We all wish him the best as he embacks fully on his talent.
